| Job Description Summary |
The search will remain open until the position has been filled. First consideration will be given to applications received by August 15, 2024. Applications received after August 15, 2024 may be reviewed depending on search progress and needs but are not guaranteed full consideration.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the head coach, assist with the successful administration of the women’s softball program, including teaching, motivating, evaluating, and recruiting qualified high caliber student-athletes.

| Duties and Responsibilities |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in evaluation and recruitment of prospective student athletes.
Assist in the training and development of players and in scouting.
Assist in team travel arrangements, game management, and equipment management.
Assist in scheduling promotions, marketing, fund-raising projects and summer camps and clinics.
Supervise the strength and conditioning program.
Maintain the recruiting, fundraising, and alumni databases.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be involved in the local softball community.
Comply with all NCAA, University, and Atlantic 10 Conference policies and regulations.
Perform other duties as required.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
NCAA Rules Certification Certificate, First Aid and CPR Certification; personal computers and Microsoft Office.

| Required Qualifications |
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree.
Demonstrated experience coaching women’s softball at the high school, college or semi-professional level.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills in a softball program.
Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to teach and evaluate student-athletes.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products (including Word and Excel).
Demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes.
Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as they apply to recruitment and player eligibility.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
Appointment subject to NCAA violation report clearance and the successful completion of NCAA rules certification exam.

| Preferred Qualifications |
PREFERRED :
Minimum of two years of collegiate coaching experience.
Demonstrated experience coaching outfielders.
Demonstrated collegiate softball playing experience.
