Job Description
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant Coach, Women’s Tennis
ROLE of the POSITION
This position exists to assist the head coach and staff to compete at the highest levels of the Mountain West Conference and NCAA Division I while providing leadership, organization, technical expertise and personal development to the student-athletes.
This position is expected to assist in teaching the game of tennis; promote and foster academic success; contribute to the overall development of the athlete in meeting the intellectual and ethical challenges and value of life and responsible citizenship by enhancing critical thinking, leadership skills, and social integrity; and accomplish recognition as one of the top national tennis programs.
This position should have a basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment. In addition, this position will be responsible for obtaining proper guidance or approval from Athletics Compliance, prior to participating is select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires aBachelor’s Degreefrom an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) anda minimum one (1) year of comparable professional experience at the D1 or professional level. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
