Position Summary

The Assistant Coach is one of the positions responsible for administering all of the year-round activities of the volleyball program. The Assistant Coach is directly responsible to the Head Coach in all matters related to the operation of this program.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Division I participation and/or coaching experience in women’s volleyball are preferred.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules as they apply to Division I.
• Certification in first aid/CPR.

- Once the student-athlete has matriculated, the Assistant Coach is the primary contact in the weekly monitoring of the student-athletes’ academic progress. - The Assistant Coach will communicate with the department’s Spartan Academic Support Services personnel and assist in student-athletes’ academic action plans.
