Xavier University is currently seeking an Assistant Volleyball Coach.  Job duties and responsibilities are outlined as follows:

Sport Specific Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and guidance necessary for a positive, competitive environment
• Responsible for skill development of student athletes and assists in strategic planning for individual student athletes
• Assumes game day responsibilities as assigned by Head Coach and/or Associate Head Coach
• Assists in the design and structure of practice activity
• Prepares scouting reports and coordinates dissemination to the team, as needed

Administrative Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting the Head Coach and or Associate Head Coach in all administrative facets of the program including, but not limited to: team travel, equipment, supply and apparel management, fiscal responsibility
• Assists with the ordering, screening, and distribution of all equipment and apparel with regard to budget
• Works closely with Xavier staff for scheduling practice sessions and game-day/competition schedule
• Keeps all compliance logs and relevant documentation with respect to NCAA rules
• Documents interaction with all support staff (i.e. Athletic Training, Strength & Conditioning, Compliance, Academic Support, Marketing and Sports Information)

 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, plus at least 1 year of college volleyball coaching experience, preferably at the NCAA Division I level.
• Experience with DATAVOLLEY software
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements for insurability under Xavier’s policy
• The employee will have knowledge of and a commitment to compliance with NCAA rules and regulations
• Possesses a philosophy of coaching and education that fits the mission of Xavier University
• Ability to interact and represent Xavier well with a diverse constituency of students, faculty, alumni and media
