Occupational Summary
Duke University Athletics is seeking a qualified candidate for the Assistant Coordinator, Videoboards position. This position will be responsible for video needs relating to in-venue videoboard productions for Women’s Basketball and other Olympic sport venues. Working closely with Marketing, Communications, Creative Services, and various other departments, the job will encompass managing in-game videoboard productions as well as shooting and editing videos for use in-game. This position require.
Work Performed:
· Produce live videoboard shows for Women’s Basketball and Olympic sports
· Produce and edit creative content for videoboards
· Collaborate with Marketing Staff on in-game content for videoboards
· Ability to work multiple positions in a live sports broadcast; i.e. Director, Replay, Audio, Camera
· Work all home Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball games for the Blue Devil Network
· Assist with in-house video requests outside of sporting events, such as graduation, summer camps, and banquets
· Have a working knowledge of emerging technologies as they develop
· Have working knowledge of Ross Xpression and Carbonite production switchers, or comparable graphics system and production switcher
· Have knowledge and experience with broadcast quality cameras
· Have a team-first mindset and able to effectively work in a group environment
· Other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director of Blue Devil Network
Qualifications:
· A working knowledge of sports video production and experience with a college or professional sports team
· One year of experience working in a live sports production
o Demonstrated video shooting, editing and production skills
o An understanding of proper lighting techniques
o A grasp of existing and emerging technology
o experience with video editing systems such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro.
· Experience with Ross Xpression and Carbonite production switchers
· Outstanding communication and organizational skills
· Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and After Effects is preferred

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Work requires the ability to follow standard procedures in the operation of various audiovisual media equipment normally acquiredthrough a full high school education.
Work generally requires two years of experience in the operation of OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE motion picture cameras, television equipment and audiovisual display devices to become skilled in the performance of routine technical duties associated with providing audiovisual support.
