Minimum Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree and one (1) year of relevant experience.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Special Conditions

Initial screening date will begin Friday, September 12, 2025, and will occur each Friday until the position has been filled. 

Experience working with students with learning disabilities or academic challenges is strongly preferred.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
May need to work/travel beyond normal work schedule.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and talk or hear. • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

• Knowledge of Banner (Ellucian).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance.

Job Duties

| Duties & Responsibilities |
Learning Support Services

• Conduct individualized academic support sessions for student-athletes with learning disabilities or academic deficiencies.
• Review documentation for learning disabilities and coordinate with the campus Disability Resources for Student (DRS).
• Schedule and oversee mentoring sessions for at-risk student-athletes.
• Train and supervise academic mentors and tutors; assist with recruiting and hiring.
• Coordinate with campus tutoring services and maintain communication with support staff regarding student progress.
• Assist with collecting and evaluating data related to learning support and academic performance trends.
• Attend athletic events as needed.

Academic Advising and Compliance

• Advise student-athletes on course selection, major declaration. academic progress, and degree completion.
• Assist with admissions, registration, and enrollment procedures.
• Monitor academic eligibility in accordance with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations.
• Maintain accurate student records; prepare reports related to academic performance eligibility and retention.
• Track and evaluate academic progress, class attendance, and performance.
• Supervise and coordinate study tables and tutoring support for teams, including during travel.
