Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of strength & conditioning coaching experience at the collegiate or professional sports level. Current
CPR

AED
certification is required. Must currently hold and maintain
CSCS
or
SCCC
certification.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
The department is especially interested in candidates who hold a Master’s degree, as well as experience in strength and conditioning in the sports.
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
This position may require work beyond the normal schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, some holidays, and travel.

Job Duties
| Duties & Responsibilities |
Develops and monitors strength & conditioning programs for assigned varsity athleticteams.
Foresees potential injury risks and takes preventative measures; in the event of injury capable of implementing emergency medical procedures. |

Teaches and supervises proper lifting techniques and assists in spotting whennecessary.
Supports the Strength & Conditioning Program Coordinator with all Exercise Techniques tasks, knowledge, and skills. |

Organizes team and supervisor orientation, follow-up meetings, in-service training meetings for supervisors, and nutrition and weight management meetings according to the Strength & Conditioning Program Coordinator schedule.
Assists with the general operation of the strength facility in the absence of the Director of Athletics Performance/Head Coach.
Assists with general maintenance and cleaning of the Strength & Conditioning facility and equipment. |

Assists in fitness testing, computation of results, and evaluation of individual athletes.
Demonstrates an understanding of human muscle physiology in order to appropriately design safe and effective exercise programs and obtain desired results.

Provide oversight and serve as intern coordinator for the Olympic strength and conditioning program. This includes the development of an educational curriculum, in-service training and meetings, and working in collaboration with department staff members providing a positive working experience for interns and fellows.
