| Advertised Job Summary |
Assistant Director of Marketing, reporting to the Associate Athletic Director of Marketing & Fan Experience, will assist in promoting positive image for intercollegiate athletics, maintaining and increasing ticket sales and creating, implementing and executing various game day promotions. This position will have director oversight of all marketing elements for volleyball and will assist with other sports as needed. This position will also assist the marketing department in oversight of various non-sport related programs and relationships that may include donation requests, the poster store and/or Forever Garnet.

| Minimum Qualifications |
Bachelor’s Degree + 1 year experience in marketing in a college athletics department.

| Preferred Qualifications |
Experience with full-time marketing at a Division I college athletics program and oversight of a sport is strongly preferred.
|
| Knowledge/Skills/Abilities |
Knowledge of marketing and advertising / sponsorship program development. Knowledge of digital marketing and public relations. Proficiency with MS Office application and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, graphic design and Powerpoint.

Job Duties

Create, execute and evaluate creative ideas to drive attendance to assigned sports at the University of South Carolina, including promotional campaigns, group events and the development of collateral materials as needed, with a primary focus of volleyball. Implement all game day inventory sold by USC’s multimedia rights holder (Learfield) including but not limited to video board elements, in-game promotions, public address announcements and promotional item giveaways. Organize and itemize all game day elements for the video board, public address announcer and entertainment promotions that occur during the game.
