The Army West Point Athletic Association Inc. (“AWPAA”) Assistant Director, Marketing & Fan Engagement is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, promotional plans, and game presentation initiatives to enhance the fan experience and support revenue generation, particularly through digital and email marketing. This role requires a motivated, organized, and team-oriented professional who will collaborate closely with departments such as ticketing, creative services, and event operations to ensure seamless event execution. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement, the Assistant Director, Marketing & Fan Engagement will contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the unit.
Scope of Impact
The Assistant Director, Marketing & Fan Engagement will collaborate with Cadet spirit groups, the U.S. Army Garison – West Point, and community area groups and youth teams to further promote AWPAA. This includes, but is not limited to, such activities and programs such as Black Knight Buddies (AWPAA’s kids club), annual gifts distributed to individuals living at West Point, and Cadet attendance and engagement at events.
Level of Decision Making
The Assistant Director, Marketing & Fan Engagement will follow and collaborate on all policies and procedures set forth by the Director, Marketing & Fan Engagement.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or 1-3 years’ experience in intercollegiate athletics (including time as a student intern) may substitute.
Familiarity with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.
Effective communication in speaking and in writing.
Ability to present a professional demeanor while delivering a high level of internal and external customer service.
Ability to communicate clearly and to convey thoughts, ideas and plans clearly to coaches, administrators, and other athletics staff members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced game day environment while managing game day production constituents.

Pay Range
$45,000 - $48,000

AWPAA expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would AWPAA consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

USMA is renowned as the world’s preeminent leadership development institution. Located on the banks of the Hudson River in West Point, NY, it is approximately one hour from New York City. The mission of USMA is "to build, educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets to be commissioned leaders of character committed to the Army Values and ready for a lifetime of service to the Army and Nation."
