The University of Arizona seeks an Assistant Director, Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Operations for administration of the track and field and cross country programs, including all aspects of team travel and equipment liaison activities.
This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel for competition.

Assist with daily operations of the Track and Field and Cross Country Programs.
Serve as liaison with both internal and external partners for home and away meets.
Coordinate and execute all aspects of team travel as well as travel with the team.
Create and retain all necessary business office documents related to team travel and recruiting, including submitting forms for reimbursement and payment.
Assist the Head Coach and Assistant Coaches with coordinating recruiting, including potential student-athlete official/unofficial campus visits and coach recruiting travel.
Assist with home competition operations and logistics in collaboration with facilities staff, event management staff, and opposing team(s). Coordinate facility scheduling for practices and team events.Â
Work with Compliance to ensure adherence of NCAA rules and regulations.
Serve as a contact with various internal constituents, such as academics, event management, public relations, marketing, sports information, Wildcat Club and others, working in cooperation with their efforts in conjunction with track and field and cross country programs.
Assist in maintaining community outreach programs, reaching out to the community, schools, and other service organizations.
Serve as point of reference for incoming student-athletes.
Coordinate team functions, meals, and activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the Sports of Track & Field and Cross Country.
Knowledge of position related NCAA, Big-12, and Arizona rules and regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
Dedication and motivation to initiate, lead and support value-added projects.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and has a positive demeanor.

Bachelor's degree.
One year of related work experience.
