Position Summary
Reporting to the associate athletic director of development, the assistant director of annual giving will assist in carrying out designated duties and responsibilities for the Rice Athletics Owl Club annual giving program. This individual will be involved with the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of all Owl Club fundraising efforts in support of Rice’s 350 student-athletes. Primary responsibilities involve building relationships through one-on-one visits with assigned prospects and donors, developing and executing annual giving strategies, designing proposals, and closing Owl Club gifts with an emphasis on leadership gifts of $500 or more. The assistant director will help with prospect research and data, as well as solicitation and stewardship software. This position will collaborate with the athletics development team on developing fundraising strategies.
