Assistant Director of Athletic Communications
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) years of full-time experience in Athletic Communications, Sports Information, Media Relations, Sports Journalism, or Marketing/Promotions. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with social media content creation and execution. Experience with general graphic design principles, typography, color theory, and production processes for print and digital media.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Previous experience with a Division I Athletic Program or a professional sports organization. Experience with statistical software and/or multimedia platforms. Experience in athletic game day operations related to PR, Communications, and/or Media.

They will work with local, regional, and national media, as well as internal departments, to support Athletics’s goals.

Special Notes:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $4000 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
Evening and weekend work may be required at times.
