The Office of Athletics at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as an Assistant Director of Athletics, Compliance/Internal Affairs. The anticipated start date is September 16, 2025.
Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Director of Athletics, Compliance/Internal Affairs, is a member of the athletic administrative staff and is responsible for all areas of adherence to NCAA regulations along with oversight to align with strengths. Responsible in the areas of initial and continuing eligibility certification, the NCAA Eligibility Center, financial aid, and recruitment and maintaining appropriate databases. Reports all violations of NCAA or conference rules to the Director of Athletics and administers that report through appropriate channels.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of work experience in athletics student services (e.g. Graduate Assistant; or Athletic Intern). Demonstrated administrative and management skills in an athletic setting. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Must be well organized, computer skills necessary. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to operate within Compliance Assistant software and other institutional databases.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in Athletic administration. Ability to actively work with all constituents of Morehead State University. Knowledge of OVC rules and regulations. NCAA Division I experience is desired.

Works closely with administrative graduate assistants or student workers with regard to game staffing requirements and with selected head coaches.
