Apply NowThe Assistant Director of Compliance will assist with the daily operations of the Office of Compliance Services and will help ensure that Rice University Athletics Department’s 16 varsity sports are in compliance with NCAA, American Athletic Conference and institutional regulations.
A successful candidate will monitor activities in the areas of NCAA bylaws 11, 13, 16 and 17, including but not limited to, unofficial/official visits, practice logs, staff declarations and complimentary ticket requests.

The assistant athletic director for men’s basketball operations is responsible for all program operations, managing travel for players and coaches/administrators/students, managing the student-athlete basketball life skills and players’ development, and coordinating special events for the program. S/he will also manage recruiting records in accordance with NCAA regulations for recruiting of student-athletes, manage booster functions for donors (including dinner meetings, fund raising events, etc.), and coordinate speaking engagements for head coach. The incumbent will serve as a representative of the University, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the Rice community and with the public.
