The mission of the NC State University Department of Athletics is to prepare student-athletes to compete at the highest level and to inspire them to be leaders now and for the future by providing the best environment to achieve their athletic, academic, and personal aspirations as well as providing support for the professional development of our coaches and staff, all within the role of the greater institutional relationships to the University.
The NC State Women’s Basketball program is a Division 1A
FBS
program in the Atlantic Coast Conference (
ACC
) within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (
NCAA
).
The Assistant Director of Creative Media Services serves the NC State women’s basketball program in the area of creative services by producing video and marketing communication materials that consistently identify, drive and communicate information about players and the team on a variety of platforms, including but not limited to: print, web, social media and internal team distribution.
This position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Creating content for recruiting and helping with media, marketing and motivational strategy for the team
Working with the Director and coaching staff to produce internal highlight and motivational content
Working with the Director to produce creative and innovative content for incoming recruits
Presenting on game days.
This position will require working nights, weekends, holidays and non-traditional hours. The incumbent will be required to work quickly, efficiently, and with adaptability under strict deadlines and will be responsible for projects from start to finish. The Assistant Director of Creative Media Services ensures compliance with
NCAA
,
ACC
and University policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
High school diploma or equivalency and two years of visual/graphic arts experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

| Other Required Qualifications |
- Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.
- Prior experience providing graphic design for collegiate or professional athletics program.
- Strong communication skills, creativity, and flexibility.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience providing graphic design within NCAA Division I college women’s basketball program desired.
- Experience in other multi-media production platforms (web sites, animation, and graphic design).
- Knowledge of a collegiate athletics department and the NCAA structure.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage numerous deadlines effectively.
