Position Description
Seattle University Athletics seeks a student-centered professional to serve as Director of Equipment Services. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of athletics apparel and equipment, for the NCAA Division I sport programs. Exercising sound budget management and multi-year forecasting, the Director will oversee equipment room operations, manage vendor and apparel contract relationships, coordinate laundry services, and supervise student equipment managers, This role requires a collaborative administrator who thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment and demonstrates a genuine commitment to the student athlete experience and the Jesuit mission of Seattle University.

This position requires regular evening and weekend availability in support of athletic competitions and department operations. The Director will work in an equipment room environment that includes sustained physical activity, including standing for extended periods and exposure to cleaning chemicals and laundry equipment.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. for a minimum distance of 15 feet, lift overhead, and work at or below waist level. The employee must be capable of balancing, kneeling, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, climbing ladders and stairs, reaching above shoulder height, crouching, squatting, and performing repetitive motion using computer equipment.
The position requires responsiveness to communications—including text messages and phone calls—outside of regular business hours when necessary. Occasional travel may be required. This position operates within the guidelines of the NCAA Division I rulebook, Seattle University Athletics policies, and the West Coast Conference.

Compensation at a Glance
Salary Range: $53,000 - $58,000
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.
