The Assistant Director of Football Operations assists with the day to day operations of the Football program. Due to the very confidential nature of student-athlete recruiting, the incumbent is in a highly sensitive position and must be able to maintain trust of the entire coaching staff. The incumbent is exposed daily to information of a highly confidential nature and must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism. In conjunction, the incumbent must be aware of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations.
80% Assists the Director of Operations and Head Football Coach with administrative duties such as budget, planning, personnel, and student-athlete relations. Attends weekly staff meetings with the administrators. Representative for football staff at mandatory meetings; Works with coaching staff on NCAA/SEC rules knowledge and compliance; Assists football recruiting coordinator with on-campus recruiting; Assists with the summer job program for student-athletes in football; Assists the Director of Operations and Head Football Coach with implementation of student-athlete support systems for "at-risk" students.
15% Assists with events put on by the football program such as coaching clinics and banquets, team travel for football; Liaison with Southeastern Conference Football Officials.
5% Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of an inclusive culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with two years experience in a collegiate football setting; Knowledge and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations. Ability to work extended days and weekends and holidays. Travel is required.
