The purpose of this position is to assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletics Communications with preparation and dissemination of information to the University community and to local and state media; promote and publicize sports-related stories and events.
Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. There will be other duties as assigned.
The individual holding this position will serve as a representative of the University and, as such, shall promote a positive impression by demonstrating a collegial and professional customer-service approach at all times.
Knowledge of and compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations;
Knowledge of media practices and procedures;
Knowledge of statistics, rules and regulations for the sports to be covered;
Knowledge of computerized statistical packages and desktop publishing equipment;
Ability to communicate effectively;
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; work nights and weekends as required.
