Position Description:

Responsible for managing, directing, and overseeing all aspects of competitive, progressive strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports of volleyball and softball, as well as assisting with football. Coordinate, implement, plan, and manage all in-season and out-of-season player development and strength conditioning, including team and individual programming.

Major Responsibilities:

• Guide coaches when planning pre-game and post-game meals and consult with coaching staff regarding seasonal nutrition.
• Coordinate rehabilitation training with Sports Medicine staff.
• Assist coaches with choosing training programs outside of Valpo Athletics to ensure the health and safety of student-athletes and verify proper certifications.
• Coordinate team equipment purchases to ensure proper management of university budgets.
• Up to 25% travel.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree and preferred Master's Degree.
• Two plus years experience in strength coaching, leading training sessions, and programming experience.
• Previous experience at the collegiate level.
