Utah State University, an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Mountain West Conference, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Director of Video Operations (Multimedia Specialist I). This is an exempt, full-time position with full University benefits.
Working with the Assistant Athletic Director of Video Operations the Assistant Director of Video Operations will manage video operations through coordinating, capturing, and production of a wide variety of projects involving video. This will include, but is not limited to, video used for self and opponent scouting analysis and internal projects. Supervise game entry and statistical reports used by coaching staff. Other duties will include filming various sports for coaches’ film, post-production, software and hardware research and installation, equipment inventory, maintenance of internal network system, and general office duties as instructed. This position will recruit, hire, and supervise a group of student staff.
Manage and organize the in-house and cloud-based statistical analysis tools and databases. Organize game plans within Catapult and supervise the filming of all football practices and games for the purpose of coaching evaluation. Attend home and away football games in order to record events for coaching evaluation and historical archiving. Coordinate the set-up and viewing of on-location presentations for away games, coaching clinics, and other team functions. Assist in maintaining equipment including troubleshooting, repairs, and provide technical assistance to coaches and athletic department staff. Coordinate all open exchange games for NCAA and NFL teams while working closely with coaching staff on film management within Catapult.
Duties also include collaborating with staff to perform administrative tasks in line with program and department goals. Assist when needed the live streaming of various athletic events and functions and attend developmental conferences.
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrates experience and extensive knowledge of and ability to creatively shoot and edit video in an athletic environment for internal projects.
Must be able to move and lift up to 50 pounds.
