Summary of Responsibilities:
Manages the Student-Athlete Development Program for Football. Provides oversight for three keys areas - the multi-year leadership development program, career development/ readiness for student-athletes and community service and outreach program.
Oversees the Student-Athlete Leadership Development program for football which includes development of curriculum which includes, but is not limited to, core values and self-awareness, social and global responsibility, financial literacy, and public speaking.
Manages the career development program for student-athletes with the goal of enhancing their career readiness through work experience, mentorship, and relevant professional development.
Collaborates with Athletics Compliance and Student Athlete Development to support the transition of student-athletes from high school, through junior college to FAU.
Identifies opportunities and manages the community service and outreach projects for the Football Program. Acts as point of contact for the community on any elements related to FAU Football and potential synergies with the community.
Manages the high school and junior college relationship-building efforts with a view to engaging the student-athletes and community educators to enhance and develop the FAU Football Program.
Supervises Interns and Volunteers within the recruiting department.
Provides 24/7 support for student-athletes related to crisis management or other related situations.
Adheres to all State of Florida, University, Conference USA and NCAA rules, regulations, and policies. Reports any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Associate AD/ Compliance. Responsible for the education and monitoring of any subordinates as it relates to NCAA regulations.
