Department Information
The Georgia Tech Athletic Associate (GTAA) sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in 17 NCAA Division I sports for the Georgia Institute of Technology. We are a proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Steeped in history and success while embracing strategic innovation, our programs compete at the highest level and strive for national championships. Tech fans are passionate about their support of their beloved Yellow Jackets and cherish the many traditions involved with the program.
Provide logistical, operational and administrative function support of intercollegiate athletics games preparation and play. Includes event scheduling, team travel, sideline support and related administrative and promotional activities. This position will interact on a consistent basis with GT Athletics Staff and Leadership and assigned sport coaches.
Job Duty 1 -
Plan and coordinate team travel, including away game pre-arrival to competition locale to coordinate lodging and dining vendor in preparation
of sport team's arrival.
Job Duty 2 -
Coordinate scheduling of sports team practices for home and visiting teams during competitive season and spring training.
Job Duty 3 -
Coordinate delivery and distribution of post workout/practice student athlete supplemental meals with 3rd party catering vendor, including contract and vendor payment process.
Job Duty 4 -
Organize and maintain sport team equipment room and facility maintenance.
Job Duty 5 -
Participate in public relations and promotions for assigned sport program, and support the Communications and Public Relations department in the preparation of sport program materials and resources.
Job Duty 6 -
Assist the Director of Sport Operations with managing budgets as assigned and expending operational resources budgeted to the sport
program in a manner consistent with Institute policy.
Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Required Qualifications
Ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Experience
One to two years of job-related experience.
