Stanford Athletics tickets more than 100 regular season events for football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, baseball, softball, and women’s gymnastics. In addition, Stanford Athletics tickets major tournaments and postseason events across many of Stanford’s 36 Division I varsity sports. Approximately 500,000 patrons attend ticketed Stanford Athletics events each academic year.
  

Summary of essential job functions:

• Independently plans, organizes, administers, and implements all aspects of ticket operations for assigned sports, to include oversight and evaluation of ticket inventory/management, seat allocation and ticket delivery.
• Conducts research and analyzes data to strategically design, recommend and implement comprehensive ticketing strategies to achieve organizational goals.
• Design, implement and maintain reports and dashboards for survey results, ticket sales, ticket operations, and other areas as needed.
• Process and monitor daily financial transactions, including researching and resolving discrepancies and chargebacks.

Summary of essential job functions:

• Independently plans, organizes, administers, and implements all aspects of ticket operations for assigned sports, to include oversight and evaluation of ticket inventory/management, seat allocation and ticket delivery.
• Conducts research and analyzes data to strategically design, recommend and implement comprehensive ticketing strategies to achieve organizational goals.
• Design, implement and maintain reports and dashboards for survey results, ticket sales, ticket operations, and other areas as needed.
• Process and monitor daily financial transactions, including researching and resolving discrepancies and chargebacks.
• Manage box office at ticketed events for assigned sports, including setup, breakdown, and a healthy balance of hands-on participation at the windows and oversight of part-time staff during the event.
• Manages player guest admissions, recruit admissions, will call admissions, and gameday ticket sales as well as liaises with event management staff on access management.
• Oversee contingent staff during events. Regularly communicate with and schedule contingent staff members for events. Anticipate staff needs and make recommendations for staffing levels.
• Identify and assist in the evaluation and implementation of new tools for sales enablement, analytics, and fan engagement.
• Collaborate with the Ticket Sales & Service department to plan, implement and measure outbound sales and service touchpoint campaigns.
• Assist with the creation of ticket sales and marketing campaigns in Salesforce and Salesloft.
• Assist with maintenance of the Salesforce environment, including but not limited to refreshing page layouts, updating and adding custom fields, and building automated processes.
• Contributes to season ticket renewal and seat upgrade outreach for assigned sports, and other sports as necessary, and responds to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with first-class customer service.
• Serve as the Ticket Office liaison with coaches, program staff, student-athletes, facilities, event managers, development and other External Relations departments for assigned sports.
• Collaborate with other members of the Athletics Department’s External Relations staff to execute a year-round marketing and communications plan for assigned sports.

 

Other duties as assigned:

• On occasion, the Assistant Director, Ticket Strategy & Operations is expected to assist with duties that are not directly related to the responsibilities above.

  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficiency with the vivenu ticketing system or other event ticketing systems and applications is preferred, but not required if candidate demonstrates ability to quickly learn and become proficient
• Flexible schedule required, including availability to manage events that often take place on nights and weekends
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience using Salesforce or a comparable customer relationship management tool
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Personable, outgoing, service-oriented individual is required
• Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels of the athletics department
• Passion for and strong desire to work in college athletics

   

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience
• Experience in ticket operations, sales or customer service functions
• Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team
• Relevant subject matter knowledge
• Ability to direct the work of others

• This position is responsible for ensuring that his/her/their involvement with Athletics Department activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students and alumni.
• Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA and Pac-12 rules and regulations.

 
Pay Range:

The expected pay range for this position is $64,480 - $72,900 per annum.
