Description

The Assistant Field Hockey Coach is responsible for organizing aspects of recruiting, coaching, and development of Division I student-athletes at Lafayette College, and supports all facets of the women’s field hockey program, as designated by Head Coach.

Assessment and recruiting of student-athletes with excellent academic background to a NCAA Division I institution and assist in evaluation and recruitment of prospective student-athletes. Assist in scouting and in-season film evaluation and breakdown. Assist in the organization and planning of all special events. Assist with camp and clinic programming. Assist in fund-raising and development activities. Assist in continued development of positive public relations with alumni and the community, including digital and social media. Assist with travel preparations. Assist in advising student-athletes. Work closely with support staff including Sports Medicine for the care and prevention of athletic injuries and support the overall drug and alcohol education program for student-athletes. Attend department meetings. Performance of all other duties and special projects as assigned by the Athletic Administration and Head Field Hockey Coach.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. 1-3 years experience coaching at the Division I level. Knowledge of and ability to abide by NCAA, Patriot League, and Lafayette College rules and regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with knowledge of Google Workspace for Education and ARMS. Driver’s license and vehicle required. Nights and weekends required.
