| Primary Purpose |
The athletic program at Appalachian State University operates on the premise that intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of the institution’s overall program of education. Priority is given to high standards of both academic and athletic quality — the goal being the complete development of the student-athlete.

BOC Certification

Bachelor’s degree required (Masters preferred) and at least two years of experience in athletic training after certification (preferably with Power 5, Group of 5, or FCS.)

The Assistant Football Athletic Trainer serves as the primary Assistant Athletic Trainer for the football team: Prevention, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries under the direction of the Appalachian State University Team Physicians.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, daily athletic training room operations, coverage of events and practices for football, supervision of athletic training students, and other administrative duties assigned by the Director of Football Athletic Training Services. | | Type of Position | Full Time Position | | Staff/Non-Faculty | Staff/Non-Faculty | | VISA Sponsorship? | VISA sponsorship is not available for this position.
