Position Summary:

The University of Dayton, a top-tier Catholic research university, is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Football Coach to join its esteemed Athletics division. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a dedicated team of coaches and contribute to the success of the university's football program.

The Assistant Football Coach will assist the head football coach in nearly all aspects of the team's potential and success. This position will coach a position assigned by the head coach. This assistant coach will also have responsibility coaching a segment of the special teams units. The assistant coach will primarily instruct, train and coach student-athletes about the sport, game and skills required for intercollegiate competition as well as instruct for the purposes of academic, social development; compliance requirements and safety and health considerations. The assistant coach will participate in recruiting quality student-athletes and will assist the head coach in leadership of the program including matters such as team composition, competition strategies and peak performance. The assistant coach will engage in team operations and video needs, will perform additional duties related to coaching (e.g. compliance education, budget management, equipment procurement fund raising) and other duties as assigned by the head coach. The assistant coach will be assigned as the primary lead or liaison in one or more of the following areas while assisting in all areas (Special Teams, Recruiting, Summer Camps, Alumni Relations, Video, Academics, Equipment). All UD Athletics employees are expected to comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations governing the University, the NCAA and the Pioneer Football League. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in all aspects of coaching student-athletes and a commitment to the highest ideals of leadership, sportsmanship and academics.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Experience as a four-year intercollegiate offensive football student-athlete

Possess a valid, state-issued driver's license, maintain a low risk driving record and is able to be insured by the University
