Description

Position Duties

• Analyzes performance and instructs players in-game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition.
• Instruct players individually or in groups demonstrating techniques in football specific to position.
• Observe players while they perform to determine the need for individual or team improvement.
• Oversee all aspects of special teams with the assistance of football staff.
• Will coach a defensive position as designated by the head football coach.
• Assists with the recruiting of student-athletes who have the potential to meet the University standards for admission and be successful members of the football team.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of and abides by applicable policies and regulations of the Pace University, the Northeast 10 Conference, and the NCAA; it being understood that your failure to comply with such rules and regulations may result in disciplinary action taken against you by the Northeast 10, or by the NCAA, or by Pace University.
• Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time. 

Supervision Exercised

Supervises Student-Athletes, Student Managers, and Assistant Coaches.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Previous playing and/or coaching experience on the collegiate level.
• Must demonstrate potential to teach, lead, and counsel college student-athletes.

Work Hours

Full-time; hours vary based on game and practice schedules. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required depending upon football and recruiting schedules.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• CPR/AED certified or ability to obtain.
