Job Description

The role of the Assistant Football Coach-Football Quality Control involves breaking down game film, analyzing opponents strategies, and preparing practice plans. Also assist with game day preparations, create playbooks, and help refine team strategies based on game data. They essentially act as a support system for thr coaching staff, ensuring the team is well-prepared for each game.

• Game Film Analysis: QC coaches review game film (including practice, games, and opponent games) to identify strengths and weaknesses, patterns, and tendencies. 
• Opponent Scouting: They research opponents, analyzing their formations, plays, schemes, and personnel assignments.
• Data Analysis: QC coaches collect and analyze data related to game performance, including statistics, play breakdowns, and performance metrics.
• Practice Planning: They contribute to practice plans by creating drills and scenarios that simulate potential game situations and help the team prepare against their opponents. 
• Playbook Creation: QC coaches work with position coaches to create and refine playbooks, incorporating data analysis and game film insights.

• Game Day Assistance: They assist with game day call sheets, provide information during halftime, and help coaches make in-game adjustments. 
• Scout Team Support: They may also manage and prepare scout teams to simulate opposing teams’ playbooks and formations during practice. 
• Recruitment: May assist with recruiting players on campus and on the road as needed

Required Qualifications

.The Assistant Football Coach-Football Quality Control should have either played college or professional football and have a very good knowledge of the game of football; must possess great “people” skills so that he can persuade young men to attend MVSU and play to their fullest potential; ability to interact and communicate effectively; possess a minimum of three years of collegiate/high school coaching experience or a combination thereof

• Knowledge of Football Strategy: A strong understanding of football rules, playbooks, and coaching philosophies is essential.
