Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Head Football Coach, The Assistant Football Coach (Offense) will serve as a member of the Department of Athletics and be responsible for administration of all aspects relating to a positive and beneficial intercollegiate athletics experience for student-athletes.

Job Description:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:  

The assistant coach (Offense) at Fort Lewis College, a NCAA Division II institution in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, is responsible for leading all aspects of an athletically competitive football program, on the defensive side of the ball including, but not limited to:  

  • Organizing and conducting skill instruction with position  
  • Effectively manage relationships with student-athletes, coaches and the broader campus community;  
  • Recruitment and evaluation of prospective student- athletes;  
  • Provide appropriate leadership in practice and competitive environments;  
  • Assist with a quality student-athlete experience through community engagement, campus involvement and competitive achievement;  
  • Monitor academic and disciplinary standing of student-athletes;  
  • Establish positive relationships with support staff;
