Salary is $44,948 ($1,728 bi-weekly) Pro-rated based on contract length

Job Description:

Analyzes performance and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition; observes players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement; and coaches players individually or in groups, demonstrating techniques of sport coached.

Assistant Football Coach – Running Backs

Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a full-time contractual exempt Assistant Football Coach to work with Running Backs. This position will begin in July/August 2025. The starting Base Annual Salary is approximately $44,948, which is pro-rated based contract term.

The following benefits will be available on an annual basis:

• University System of Maryland Tuition Remission program.
• Five (5) days of annual leave
• Specific Holidays
• Three (3) days of sick leave
• May participate in the State Health Insurance programs (medical, prescription and/or dental, etc.) that are available to State employees. Staff working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for the applicable state subsidy for medical and prescription coverage.

FSU boasts 25 varsity sports (11 men/14 women) at the NCAA Division II level that compete in the Mountain East Conference and the East Coast Conference.

Responsibilities: Assist the Head Football Coach and Offensive Coordinator with coaching and supervision of the Football Team. Work directly with the players to train and develop skills specific to the sport of football. Help monitor and advise student-athletes to ensure academic success. Assist in evaluation and recruitment of prospective student-athletes. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year of coaching or other related work experience. Previous competing experience at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and/or two years of coaching experience.
