Summary of Job Duties: The Assistant Graphic Designer will play an essential role in developing the University of Arkansas Athletic Department’s digital, marketing, and social media strategy, and helping to establish the Razorbacks as a leader in college athletics. Working under the direction of the Lead Graphic Designer, the Assistant Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs that accurately reflect the Razorback Athletics brand across print, digital, and video platforms, as well as serving a role in the design and development of graphics for all athletics facilities.
Conceptualize, design, and produce materials for marketing campaigns such as sport posters, email newsletters, and print and digital advertisements and ensure that elements are used consistently throughout competitive seasons and across all platforms.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Experience in still graphics and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Experience designing and producing materials for marketing campaigns
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, graphic arts, communications, or a related field
At least two years of graphic design or related experience
Experience with designing and formatting for large scale print jobs
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Knowledge of branding and graphic design
Knowledge of development and implementation of printed and online material
Additional Information:
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of
funding, and satisfactory job performance.
