Men’s Lacrosse Assistant Coach 

 

Duties & Responsibilities. 

The Employee will accomplish the duties and responsibilities as the Pat-time Men’s Lacrosse Assistant Coach as agreed upon with the CEO, AD and Head Lacrosse Coach. The Employee will fully support the mission and objectives of the Air Force Academy, Department of Athletics and the AFAAC. The Employee will help direct and be responsible for the operation of the U.S. Air Force Academy Intercollegiate Lacrosse Program, to include, but not be limited to, the following:  

  • Assisting the Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach with the organization, development, and implementation of a nationally competitive, NCAA I Men’s Lacrosse program.
  • Coaching and providing individual instruction to all members of the Men’s Lacrosse Team
  •  Recruiting, scouting, coaching and travel coordination program administration, as well as other responsibilities for the best available cadet candidates through all NCAA permissible means as directed by the Head Lacrosse Coach.
  •  Serving on national committees if the opportunity arises.
  •  Assisting with preparing and organizing the Lacrosse team's schedules.
  • Organizing and being present at all related practices and contests.
  • Ensuring that cadets represent the Academy in a dignified manner both in actions and dress.
  • Attending Athletic Department coaches’ meetings, as necessary. 
  • Assisting with organizing and administering AFAAC sponsored sports camps and clinics for Lacrosse.
