Job Description

Young Harris College is accepting applications for an Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach. Under the direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach will aid in all aspects of organizing, preparing and conducting individual and team practices and game preparation. Assist in the evaluation and recruitment of qualified prospective student-athletes. Assist with logistics, equipment and apparel inventory. Additional responsibilities include monitoring player development and supporting the academic advising efforts of The Student Success Center. As an employee of Young Harris College, it is necessary to represent the program at various institutional and community events. Aid with the overall coordination and administration of the program. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics. Compensation for this position includes competitive pay, room, and board.

Prerequisite Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. Collegiate playing experience is preferred. Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules is required. Applicants must demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and demonstrate a commitment to student athlete welfare and athletics excellence in a rigorous academic environment. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to perform physical activity inherently related to coaching collegiate lacrosse. Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
