Description: The Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach is responsible for assisting in the recruiting, coaching, and development of Division I student-athletes at Lafayette College and supports all facets of the Men’s Lacrosse program.

Primary Responsibilities: Coaching position as determined by the Head Coach. Assessment and recruiting of appropriate student-athletes with excellent academic background to a NCAA Division I institution and assist in recommending scholarships for prospective student-athletes. Assist in scouting and in-season film evaluation and breakdown. Assist in the organization and planning of all special events. Assist in fundraising and development activities. Assist in continued development of positive public relations with alumni and the community. Assist with competitive contests. Assist in advising student-athletes. Work closely with Sports Medicine for the care and prevention of athletic injuries and support the overall drug and alcohol education program for student-athletes. Attend department meetings. Performance of all other duties and special projects as assigned by the athletic administration and Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Knowledge of and ability to abide by NCAA, Patriot League, and Lafayette College rules and regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with knowledge of Google Workspace for Education and ARMS.
