Position Summary
The Assistant Recruiting & Football Operations Coordinator at Rice University works under the direction of the Football General Manager, and assists in the identification, evaluation, and recruitment of scholar athletes for the football program. This person is responsible for all recruiting database management as directed by the General Manager. S/he partners with the rest of the recruiting department as well as others on the coaching staff in developing recruiting strategies, in cooperation with the General Manager and Head Football Coach. This individual will also assist in the approval process for all scholar-athlete transcripts and maintain the recruiting board with up-to-date information. This person will also assist the Director of Football Operations in day-to-day operations of the football program and team travel, not limited to advance team travel. This individual will assist in coordinating player alumni events and player development events. There are other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Head Football Coach and Chief of Staff. The Recruiting Coordinator also is responsible for supporting the philosophy, goals, and mission of Rice University and its intercollegiate athletics program as well as adherence to Departmental, University, American Athletic Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures as it relates to recruitment of student athletics.

The assistant athletic director for equipment is responsible for the oversight and management of the daily operation of Rice Athletics’ equipment operations, laundry services, inventory management, and equipment safety protocol.
