Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
2-4 years of successful collegiate coaching experience at the Division I level.
Responsible for providing assistance to the Head Coach in assigned areas of the intercollegiate soccer program. This employee will assist the head coach in coaching, planning, organizing, directing, recruiting, and implementing all phases of a Division I soccer program as well as assist in all areas of team performance which includes but is not limited to pre-season, post-season training, practice and competition, and academic progress.
Possess good organizational, communication and public relations skills. Ability to evaluate and compare athletic talent for potential growth and development of student-athletes. Successful recruiting experience. Ability to comprehend and adhere to NCAA, SEC, and institutional policies and procedures in the sport of soccer. Effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, customers, and the general public. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Stand; walk; use hands and reach with arms and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level during practice and sporting events can reach a high decibel level. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, and peripheral vision. Driving as needed to perform job duties.

Duties/Responsibilities
Evaluating, scouting and recruiting qualified student-athletes to the University of Georgia whose athletic and personal skills make them highly competitive in the SEC and nationally, and whose academic potential makes them good candidates for a meaningful academic experience and graduation at the University of Georgia.

Assist in conducting and evaluating all practice sessions and games.

Assist the head coach and Academic Advisors in monitoring the academic performance and general well-being of student-athletes.

Understanding and adhering to NCAA, SEC and Athletic Association rules specifically related to recruitment and to the on-going performance of duties within an NCAA Division I soccer program.

Assist in the planning and designing of a yearly soccer training program; assisting in the planning and designing of specific strength and conditioning sessions for student-athletes in cooperation with the Head Strength & Conditioning and Head Soccer Coach
