Position Title:

Assistant Softball Coach

Job Description:

Reporting to the Head Women’s Softball Coach, the Assistant Softball Coach will assist in the day-to-day operations and coaching of the University’s Women’s Softball program. This position will support all aspects of the program, including planning and conducting practices, game preparation, and player development. The Assistant Coach will also help coordinate team travel, camps, alumni engagement, and special events. Additionally, the Assistant Softball Coach will play an active role in program fundraising initiatives and oversee the team’s social media presence to enhance program visibility and engagement. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all NCAA and University rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in all facets of the women’s softball program, including practices, game preparation, and player development
• Coordinate team travel logistics in collaboration with the department’s Business Operations Manager (flights, buses, hotels, meals, etc.)
• Support and monitor the academic progress of student-athletes in partnership with academic support staff
• Help plan and support program fundraising initiatives and events
• Coordinate practice scheduling, both at home and while traveling
• Manage and contribute to the team’s social media presence and public communications
• Organize community outreach efforts and promotional events to enhance program visibility

• Supervise and delegate responsibilities to student managers and support staff

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Collegiate playing experience
• Coaching experience at any level preferred
• Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Salary/Hours/Benefits

• $7,000 Salary, 10-month contract
• Part Time
