Short Description

Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a 10/11-month contractual exempt Assistant Softball Coach position to begin in August 2024. The approximate starting Annual Salary is $38,000 which is based on the length of the contract and is not negotiable.

The following benefits will be available on an annual basis:

University System of Maryland Tuition Remission program.

Five (5) days of annual leave

Specific Holidays

Three (3) days of sick leave

May participate in the State Health Insurance programs (medical, prescription, and/or dental, etc.) that are available to State employees. Staff working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for the applicable state subsidy for medical and prescription coverage.

Description of Ongoing/New Duties

Assist the Head Coach with coaching and supervision of the Softball Team. Help monitor and advise student-athletes to ensure academic success. Assist in evaluation and recruitment of prospective student-athletes. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and one year of coaching or other related work experience. Previous competing experience at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree and/or two years of coaching experience.
