Qualifications

• Required to hold a valid California driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training 
• Collegiate coaching or playing experience in the sport of softball.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of the rules and strategies of softball. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR & First Aid certified or must obtain within 30 days from date of hire and certified bi-annually. 
• Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, California Collegiate Athletic Association and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures. Experience serving as a collegiate hitting coach.
