The Assistant Sports Performance Coach will assist the Director and other Sports Performance staff in training all College of Charleston athletes and teams compete for championships. Primarily this Coach will do this by designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs that maximizes their ability to perform, while reducing likelihood of injuries where possible.
Bachelors degree in Exercise Science, or Physiology or related field.
National Certification: USAW, CSCS (NSCA), or SCCC (CSCCa)
First Aid/CPR certified
At least 1 year experience working with D1 student athletes
Master Degree preferred
Prior experience working with Women’s Basketball or Women’s Soccer strongly preferred
Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with student-athletes, coaches, staff, faculty and parents. Must have excellent communication skills.
Weekend and evening hours are required. Overnight travel may be required.

Assists in designing and implementing programs, regularly testing the student-athletes to determine the effectiveness of the programs and maintaining accurate records of student-athlete’s progress.
