ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to all applicable NCAA and conference compliance rules and regulations. 
• Ensuring that all relevant institutional, conference and NCAA rules and regulations are followed including, but not limited to player eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, scheduling and academic progress.
• Ensure compliance with all institutional, conference and NCAA rules and regulations by student-athletes and sport-related staff.
• Abides by NCAA Bylaws 10.1 and 11.1 regarding ethical conduct and the responsibility to positively contribute to a campus culture of NCAA rules compliance. 
• Responsible for the program design, organization, and implementation of Strength and Conditioning activities as assigned by Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. 
• Assist in collective departmental and individual record keeping for all programming, testing, and student-athlete assessments.
• Establishing and maintaining professional interdepartmental relationships within intercollegiate athletics and academic programs. 
• Assisting in the purchase, maintenance and inventory of all equipment.
• Assist in directing and managing recruiting efforts as solicited by members of respective sport assignments.
• Assist in designing and implementing off-season training programs for student-athletes.
• Assist in all fundraising needs for the department.
• Maintain appropriate communications with student-athletes.
• Assist with collaborating and maintaining continuing education programs. 
•  Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Supervision is received from Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance / Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:  
Supervision is exercised over Graduate Assistants and undergraduate Strength and Conditioning Interns. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition, or similar field. 
  
• One year of collegiate strength and conditioning graduate assistantship experience.
• CSCS or CSCCA certified
• CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified
• Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations 
• Exceptional leadership skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a diverse community
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.      
• Willingness to travel nights and weekend
• Willingness to travel with programs as requested.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition, or similar field. 
• Three years of collegiate strength and conditioning experience at the collegiate level or higher.
