Athletics is a dynamic team of student-athletes, coaches and administrators with a vision to demonstrate unprecedented excellence in athletics, academics and student-athlete development. Our championship culture provides a foundation for all students to grow as a person, student and athlete.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide strength and conditioning performance coaching expertise to assigned intercollegiate athletics teams. The position exists to better the overall strength and conditioning of student-athletes, the prevention of injuries, and increase athletic performance.
Teach, motivate, and coach student-athletes in the development of technical and physical knowledge and athletic performance as it relates to performance enhancement and injury prevention to compete as Division I intercollegiate level student-athlete. Plans strength and conditioning regimens per team and/or individual student-athlete. Monitors progress/results and adjusts plan accordingly.
Design, implement, conduct, and monitor strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams. Collect, monitor, analyze, and present data from
GPS
/Heart rate performance monitoring technology for assigned teams. Management of athletic nutrition and body composition for health and performance measures.
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of one (1) year of strength and conditioning coaching experience.
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (
CSCS
) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) certification.
Women’s Basketball strength coaching experience preferred.
ICA Business Administration
Commensurate with education and experience.
