Carry out all areas of strength and conditioning for assigned teams while adhering to NCAA, conference and university rules and regulations. In addition, the assistant strength and conditioning coach will support the director and assistant director of athletic performance in the daily operation of the facilities and other duties as assigned. PT assistant AP coach will also carry out additional administrative duties as assigned by the director/assistant director of athletic performance. Finally, this position will carry out all areas of athletic performance for assigned teams while adhering to NCAA, RMAC, university and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, supervise and monitor all facets of Athletic Performance programs for assigned teams, to include:
    · Periodized Annual Plans
    · Sport specific resistance training programs
    · Sport specific conditioning programs
    · Individual programs when necessitated
    · Conduct fitness testing, computation of results, and evaluation
  • Show up to your assigned teams workouts in a timely manner, be there to execute the designed program, and assure all athletes are able to complete the workout.
  • Collaboration with fellow student-athlete health and welfare teammates and sport coaching personnel to monitor, assess and develop protocols for training loads, neuromuscular fatigue, recovery, athlete readiness, and other performance factors
  • Instruct proper lifting technique and assist in spotting when necessary.
  • Effectively and properly motivate athletes to achieve maximum potential in all areas of performance.
  • Anticipate potential risks of injury, have the ability to implement emergency medical procedures.
