Assistant Swimming Coach

Job Description:

The assistant coach will assist the head coach in all aspects of the men’s and women’s swimming program. Academically qualified candidates will be eligible for graduate school tuition remission benefits at the University.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recruitment of qualified student-athletes.
• On deck coaching, meet preparation, and scheduling.
• Assist in recruitment events and coordination of campus visits
• Fundraising and alumni events
• Assist in coordinating team travel.
• Compile and submit team CARA hours weekly.
• Overall administration of a Division I swimming program in accordance with institutional, NCAA and conference rules and regulations.

• Obtain and maintain the following certifications
  • Frederick County Pool Operator
  • Lifeguarding
  • CPR and First Aid

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate swimming experience desired.
• Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
