Position Duties/Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the head coach in all facets of the program. In this position, the Assistant Coach is required to work nights, weekends, and long periods of standing and moving equipment.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with the coaching and administration of an NCAA Division I volleyball program
• Assist with designing and implementing training programs for student-athletes
• Monitor academic success, evaluation and recruiting of prospective student-athletes
• Assist with team travel and budget management, assist with game management and other duties that may be assigned by the athletic department
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Volleyball Coach

Required/Preferred Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Demonstrated collegiate volleyball and/or coaching experience preferred
• Possess knowledge and understanding of volleyball coaching philosophies, training strategies, practice planning and recruiting at the NCAA level is preferred
• Coaching background or experience in collegiate coaching is preferred
• Possess strong communication skills
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is necessary
