Job Description

The University of Akron, a NCAA Division 1 (FBS) institution and member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. This position will provide assistance to the women's basketball program by contributing to the coaching, recruiting and

administrative efforts of the department.

Duties:

Assist with various coaching and training activities during games and practices. Assist with game and practice preparation and player development. Assist in scheduling. 

Provide assistance in recruiting and scouting highly skilled student athletes while initiating oral and electronic correspondence and evaluating college eligible prospects. 

Provide assistance in editing and evaluating videotapes from practices and games.

Assist in monitoring the academic and athletic development of student athletes to ensure player eligibility and to support the educational goals of individual students.

Assist in fundraising efforts and bring initiatives to help community engagement/attendance
