Women's Basketball

The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach will: assist the head coach in the overall operation of a Division I women's basketball program. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to begin or advance their career in collegiate athletics. The successful candidate will support the head coach in all aspects of the program, including player development, recruiting, academic support, and daily operations.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Prior basketball coaching experience
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years of prior experience with women's basketball
Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and development of student-athletes
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations
Knowledge of technical aspects of the assigned sport and willingness to continue to learn and examine new ideas pertinent to the assigned sport
Ability to work nights and weekends
Ability to work with potential students with diverse backgrounds
Ability to use sound judgment and critical thinking skills when determining students’ needs
