other University duties. The Assistant Coach will work with university offices such as admissions and compliance, as well as running camps and
clinics. This position must comply with all University, Athletics Department, and NCAA rules and policies. The Assistant Coach will assist the
Head Coach in providing leadership, organization, preparation, and supervision for all practices and contests.
The Assistant Softball Coach will also communicate regularly, and work with support staff, in the following areas to assist in the implementation of
the program: Business Office, Administrators, Academic Advisors, Sports Medicine, Facilities & Operations, Sports Information, Compliance
Office, Equipment Room, Development Office, Marketing, Ticket Office, and Weight Room.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is required. Division I playing or coaching experience is preferred. Experience running and organizing summer
camps and clinics. Must know softball rules and development and have the ability to work effectively with student-athletes, Head Coach, athletic
staff, the University and community personnel, and alumni. This position is required to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with
all NCAA, and institutional rules and regulations.
University: California State University, Bakersfield is a member of the twenty-three campus California State University System and enrolls
approximately 10,000 students. The greater Bakersfield community has a sports-oriented population of approximately 500,000 people and is
located in the southern San Joaquin Valley. The climate is semi-arid with clear, dry, warm summers and mild winters.

Compensation: CSU Fulltime Classification Salary Range $6,288-$7,658/monthly
