The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is excited to invite applications for the position of Part-time Assistant Coach for our Women's Track and Field team. Under the general direction of the Director of Cross Country/Track & Field, you will support the efforts in administering a competitive NCAA Division II XC/track and field program following university, NCAA and NE10 Conference policies (please note that men's track and field is not sponsored at SNHU).

What you'll do:

• Provide coaching to support all team members in realizing their potential as student athletes and members of the general university community.
• Motivate athletes to achieve their goals in a supportive and positive environment.
• Attend practices, training sessions, team meetings and meets (home and away). (Specific time commitment required will be delineated by the Head Coach)
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach.

What we're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree
• 1+ years of experience coaching distance/mid-distance or the vertical/horizontal jumps.
• Experience in strength training is a plus
• Hold a valid driver's license and be eligible to be insured by the university's auto insurance carrier to drive team vans to competitions when needed.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $13.61 - $21.77. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $15.04 - $20.34.
