POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Assistant Womenâs Volleyball Coach is directly responsible to the Head Coach in all matters related to the operation of this program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
The Assistant Womenâs Volleyball Coach will have responsibilities that are defined by institutional and NCAA rules and guidelines.
Administratively
Input and update information on Teamworks
Assist in recruiting evaluations and communication
Assist in the growth and development of camp programs
Assist in volleymetric scheduling and score sheet upload
Assist in game/practice video breakdown and assessment
Complete the NCAA coaches test as required
Be present with head coach in meetings with players are required
Attend department wide coachesâ meetings when schedule allows
Attend sport specific meetings when called either by being presence or on teams
Assist with any other annual administrative functions when called upon
Practice
Attend all practices unless there is a conflict with family or primary job conflicts
Be involved with practice planning, organization and implementation
Maintain professionalism with coaches and players
Be wise when it comes to relationships with players
Be encouraging, be available for explanation of why we do things a certain way, Be firm when it comes to unacceptable attitude
When is doubt about a situation or questions refer to the Head Coach
Remember we speak with one voice, it is never I nor me, it is always we and us

Gameday
How we dress is color of the day
Gear will be provided for coaches
Game day procedure will be explained
Game day responsibilities will be assigned
Departure times will be posted, then gone over the week of the away match
Proper protocol will be discussed as far as coachesâ behavior and floor interaction

Organizational Relationships
The Assistant Womenâs Basketball Coach reports directly to the Head Coach and will respond to the Director of Athletics as needed.
As an employee of the North Greenville University Athletics Department, the individual will be actively involved in relationships within the campus, Upstate and Alumni community.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
WORK SCHEDULE:
The Assistant Womenâs Volleyball Coach is required to work according to athletic game schedules, practices, and recruiting events. This position does not operate on a traditional work schedule.
TRAVEL:
Travel is required for away games, recruiting events, and team activities.
This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee. The Assistant Womenâs Volleyball Coach will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties as requested by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.
